This sink has an undermount design. Undermount sinks install from below the counter and attach with the perimeter lip, which helps increase counter space. And because the lip is placed against the underside, it is incredibly easy to clean food and other debris from the counters without it getting caught in the lip. Undermount sinks are generally constructed from higher quality materials such as stainless steel, so they usually tend to last longer than drop-in sinks.
This sink replaces or upgrades your existing kitchen sink. If not replacing an existing sink, use the included template to cut a hole in the counter top. Once the hole has been made, the sink just drops into place. Brackets and hardware are included to secure the sink to the counter. The use of silicone sealant (sold separately) is recommended.
